Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Prof. Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and has been awarded many international and national prizes. She has consulted with various countries and agencies around the world on policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
